A few years ago we went out raspberry picking at a friend’s house. While there, I ended up following Sofia around the yard until she came across some yarrow. She tried to pick it but couldn’t, so I pulled some off the top of the stem and handed it to her. She inspected it, then broke it into three little bundles and handed them to me one at a time. Here Mama! Here Mama! Here Mama!
She is so adorable.
It made me think: this is how God must feel when we offer things to him. The reality is, everything belongs to Him, and if I hold anything in my hand, it is because he has kindly placed it there.
I know it’s funny, but it really blessed my heart when Sofia offered those flowers to me. I imagine God gets that same kind of joy when we offer gifts to him. Even if they are small. Even if they were His to begin with.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above. James 1:17
